Questions, answered.
What is MyPark?
A reservation system that lets you reserve a premium spot from 15 minutes to 6 months ahead with an app on your phone, or on the spot by scanning the QR code on the sign (no download needed). When you reach your spot, tap "Let Me In" and the device lowers its arm.
How is this different from valet?
You park yourself in the best available premium spot, keep your keys, stay for your reserved time (overstay fees may apply at some locations). No waiting and no tip.
Do I need to download the app?
No. Scan the QR code on the spot sign to open the MyPark web app in your browser. There is no account registration, and you can pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card, so you can park within seconds. The app is optional, and handy for regulars and future reservations.
Where can I download the app?
On the App Store and Google Play.
When am I charged?
When you drive away. The arm comes up, your card is charged and a receipt is emailed to you.
Is the device weatherproof?
MyPark devices are built for indoor and outdoor installation.
Who gets the revenue?
On the purchase model, you keep 100% of parking revenue, minus payment-processing fees and applicable taxes, paid directly to your bank account through Stripe Connect.
Common questions from owners and boards.
Do I need a subscription?
Yes. Every MyPark device must be on an active MyPark service subscription to connect to the MyPark platform, process driver bookings and payments, and receive software updates and support. The subscription is sold separately from the device; current pricing is shown at our subscription pricing page. Your subscription begins when your device is activated, not when you place a pre-order. If your subscription ends or lapses for non-payment, the device will stop connecting to the MyPark platform and won't accept new bookings or payments until the subscription is reactivated. You own the device hardware either way. MyPark does not guarantee any level of parking revenue; results depend on your location, demand, pricing, and use. Full details are in our Subscription Terms.
How do I activate my device and start my subscription?
After your device arrives, create your MyPark account on the MyPark admin portal. From your account you start and pay for your subscription, pair your units to your spaces, and manage auto-renewal or cancellation anytime. To receive driver payments, you'll also set up or connect a Stripe account during activation and choose daily, weekly or monthly automatic payouts.
How do I get paid?
Driver payments are paid out to your own Stripe account. During activation, you'll set up a new Stripe account or connect an existing one through Stripe Connect, and choose daily, weekly or monthly automatic payouts.
How is parking revenue taxed?
Tax treatment depends on your entity type, location and how the spaces are offered. In Florida, charges for parking or storing motor vehicles are generally subject to sales tax and any local surtax. MyPark provides transaction reports to help you and your tax adviser. MyPark does not provide tax or legal advice. Please consult your accountant or attorney.
How is enforcement handled?
The MyPark barrier stays raised until a driver reserves and pays, and it sends tamper alerts if someone tries to force it. MyPark does not tow vehicles. If you want towing on your property, you are responsible for complying with Florida Statute § 715.07, Miami-Dade County and municipal towing ordinances (including required signage and licensed towing companies), and your association rules. MyPark spot signs are not tow-away signs.
Who maintains the equipment?
On the purchase model, remote technical support and standard maintenance are included in the Platform & maintenance plan ($199 per space per month, or $149 per space per month at volume pricing). Damage from vandalism, vehicle impact or misuse, and batteries beyond normal wear, may be billed separately.
Who owns the equipment?
On the purchase model, title to MyPark units and gateways passes to you on full payment. The MyPark software and firmware are licensed to you, not sold, while your subscription is active.
Who keeps the parking revenue?
On the purchase model, you keep 100% of parking revenue, minus payment-processing fees and applicable taxes, paid directly to your bank account through Stripe Connect.
Billing, made clear.
How do MyPark charges appear on my statement?
You are charged when you leave the spot, through MyPark's payment processor (Stripe), and you get an emailed receipt for every session.
